The Chilean Lake District is a beautiful area to kick back and
enjoy nature. Perfectly coned volcanoes, stunning waterfalls and beautiful lakes.
Historic European influenced towns and villages with pretty wooden churches and
busy port towns where you’ll taste the best the Pacific Ocean has to offer. For
those who want to be more active there’s climbing, rafting and riding.
Day 4
You’ll
be collected from your hotel by your
guide and driver, load the minibus and drive for three hours crossing the
Valdivian forest along the Reloncaví estuary. Arrive to the Tagua - Tagua lake
and a ferry crossing will take us to the other side where will drive for
another hour or so. Time for great Picnic lunch before crossing the lake. After
a short drive we will meet the baqueanos (Chilean horsemen) and the Creole pack
horses before reaching the first night stop.
Overnight is in rustic but clean and cosy local houses with wonderful
warm hospitality and home made wholesome food.
5 hour road and boat transfer and 2 and a half hours walking or riding.

Enjoy
this fantastic landscape and cross the river just as the locals do: on public
boat while the horses swim alongside. Trek into the Ventisquero’s valley where
we will stop for lunch and relax. Afternoon trek to the remote village and the
little house where the owners will host. 5 hours walking.

important local hanging bridge, crucial for the communication between the local
inhabitants and the outside world. This area is particularly spectacular for
its huge waterfalls and rapids. We will take a break to enjoy our box lunch. At
the end of the day will reach the Las Rocas Lake. After a ten-minute ride in
the motorboat, we will land on Bandurrias Island where Sra. Fran awaits us with
