Day 1
Arrive into Puerto Natales. Meet guide at
BlueGreen Adventures office and take a private transfer out of town to the beautifully
situated yoga dome. Meet your yoga instructor Susanne and enjoy afternoon tea
with spectacular mountain and water views. Introduction to Hatha Yoga: In an
effort to simplify and clarify the complex philosophies and teachings of yoga,
Swami Vishnu-devananda summarized the wisdom of yoga in 5 principles. These
principles show the way to developing physical and mental health as well as
spiritual growth. The 5 points are: 1. Proper Exercise (Asanas), 2. Proper
Breathing (Pranayama), 3. Proper Relaxation (Savasana), 4. Proper Diet
(vegetarian) and 5. Positive Thinking (Vedanta) and Meditation (Dhyana). After
discussing these points, Susanne will get you started on 1.5 hours of yoga
practice and poses. On finishing, transfer to Indigo Spa before meeting your
guide and the rest of the group for dinner.
Dinner included (drinks extra).
Day 1 – Day
4
3 nights at
Indigo Patagonia, Puerto Natales on a bed & breakfast basis
The first small, spa, boutique hotel in Puerto Natales.
The popular old Indigo hostal had a complete makeover in 2006 and the
IndigoPatagonia was born. In an enviable position right on Last Hope Sound with
spectacular views to the fjord and mountains.
There are 23 rooms in simple natual style, plenty of wood,
natural textures and light to take advantage of the views. All blend perfectly
together with their surroundings.
The roof terrace houses three outside Jacuzzis, sauna and
massage area.
The Indigo is perfect if one doesn’t mind not staying in the
park. Day trips are possible but they are long or perhaps a 2 night camping
trip with the promise of the Indigo’s Jacuzzi at the end of a strenuous hike –
a good option.
Puerto Natales can be overlooked as a service town but
there’s a lot more to it. The town has lots of character and there are some
great restaurants to chill out in and of course the Indigo’s spa!
Room Facilities: Phone, internet,
coffee/tea making, safe.
Shared Facilities: Plunge pool, Jacuzzi, spa, bar, restaurant.
Activities nearby: National Park, trekking, riding, glacier hikes and boat
trips.
To escape to verdict: A first for Puerto Natales and a cut above the rest.
Nowhere matches the Indigo’s location and spa facilities. Hopefully you will have
time to spend more than one night! Natales tends to just be a stopping off
place for the park but with exciting new hotels popping up it doesn’t have to
be anymore!

The Torres del Paine National Park is spectacular.
Incredible breathtaking mountains, lakes and glaciers. The staff and guides at
the lodge will detail the excursions available. Boat trips to the Grey Glacier,
ice hiking, horse riding. The park is a wonder of nature at the end of the
world and the adverse weather is part of the experience but that’s Patagonia!
