Ingram Casey
Director & Co-Founder

8 years experience with a Luxury European Villa company and then managing Africa for one of UK’s largest travel companies taught Ingram how to combine the cultured european travel ethos with the excitement of Africa. Engaged in Seychelles, married in Durban and a honeymoon to Malawi - Ingram really does live his love for Africa.

Director & Co-Founder

Co-founded the company in 2003 with a vision to offer a more personalised travel experience. His desire to explore every cul-de-sac when travelling has been the inspiration to develop a unique and exciting product portfolio. Tom’s background is primarily online travel as an editor for a collection of specialist travel sites.

South African and Zulu speaking, yet with 7 years' as a corporate lawyer in London, Georgie learnt the hard way how long hours and even long winters make the allure of her continent such an appealing escape. She is now dedicated to finding unique places in Southern Africa for those looking to make their own inspirational escapes.

Mercedes Bailey
Marketing and PR

Straight out of university Mercedes spent 2 years running one of Northern Mozambique’s flagship eco lodges and Africa really got under her skin. She returned to London doing the marketing and PR for some of Africa’s finest camps but after 2 years Africa was calling again and in 2009 she moved to Cape Town. At to escape to she concentrates on getting us lots of great press coverage!

After working for 7 years at one of the largest tour operators in the UK, Hazel not only joined the to escape to team but also made the move from rural Sussex to Cape Town. She now uses her wealth of experience and passion for travel to bring her personal touch to every holiday itinerary she puts together.

The Irishman with the German-sounding name, Hans moved to Cape Town in 2004. Previously he worked in property management getting to see behind the doors of the most exclusive homes in Southern Africa. Hans has since taken his knowledge of South Africa to start looking at the fine residences of East Africa.

Over 12 years in the South American travel industry including 6 months working in the far south of Chilean Patagonia with daughter Emily. Rose now seeks out the best boutique hotels, lodges and private villas that have only recently been emerging out of the jungle, Patagonian wilderness and secret beaches of Brazil.

The knowledge she has built up over this time and her strong organisational skills ensure that all the bookings she is responsible for run like clockwork.

Sheena Stephens
Accounts Manager

Sheena is the keeper of the purse strings and ensures the rest of the staff are in check. In between running a family which includes two teenage daughters, she makes sure everything is ship-shape at the office. But don’t let her organization ability fool you – she plays a mean game of squash, enjoys a round or two of golf and is more than capable of giving an expert opinion on the Cape Wines over a glass or two.

Ursula a top commercial analyst, analysed her passions and decided to pack her bags and move from office life in Ireland to sunnier climbs in Cape Town. Her professional approach helps keep an office full of wanderlust individuals as level headed as possible. Don't be fooled! since arriving in Cape Town she has taken every opportunity to check out the sites and sounds of South Africa, with aspirations to explore many more destinations on this huge Continent and ‘tick’ a few more places on what looks like a very long ‘To Visit List’

From the Cape Town Township of Khayelitsha, Constance joined us as our Cape Town cleaner but it was not long before she swapped her feather duster for a computer following completion of an accounts course, which was funded through to escape to sponsorship. She is now a vital part of the accounts team and taking on more responsibility on a regular basis.

Mark joined to help start up our South American portfolio by loading properties onto the website. Mark now manages and maintains our websites and is constantly learning more about the travel industry. With a degree in digital design, Mark also does our brochures as well as helping putting together itineraries and with his great eye for design keeps everything looking slick!

Spent 7 years travelling every part of the World, as a dancer. 4 of those on World cruises exploring, amongst many areas, the African Coast, Indian Ocean & South America. She now manages all of the administrative activities to keep the UK office running smoothly.
