We donate R195 from every booking to South Africa to Uthando
Uthando aims to provide upliftment and support to communities

The mission of Uthando South Africa is to provide a platform and infrastructure to raise funds from individuals, groups and organisations who have an interest in the region. The money generated supports a broad range of grass roots, community based, sustainable, innovative and empowerment projects with substantial and enduring value to the most destitute and marginalized communities in South Africa.
Achieved: Our aim is to donate over R25 000 at the end of the year. Guests can also go on tours to the projects and make further donations

Bobs for Good is our official Sports Escapes charity

According to the Department of Education, there are currently 7.5 million children who don’t have school shoes in South Africa. Bobs for Good donates shoes to underprivileged children, thus giving them a sense of pride and hope. Some schools do not allow children into the classroom if their uniform is not complete ie, if they don’t have shoes. Bobs For Good wants to increase attendance by ensuring that children who lack shoes are given them, and not just once, but for good.

Every client who travels with to escape to receives a bag made by “Township” – a non-profit helping disadvantaged women build a brighter future

Township trains and equips disadvantaged women and gives them the support they need to establish and run themselves as officially registered sewing co-ops. This training is made up of technical, business and personal skills development. They currently have 7 working sewing co-operatives in Cape Town: 3 in Khayelitsha, 2 in Manenburg on the Cape Flats and 1 in Westlake and one in training, at their training centre in Blackheath
Achieved: to escape to support their work by buying their environmentally-friendly bags which are sent to every client who travels with us as a gift.
